Each 800g bag of wax crystals includes 10 wicks with metal sustainers. Once you have filled a suitable container with the wax crystals, the wicks are placed in the wax crystals.
For best results position the wick centrally within the container, ensuring that wicks are at least 5cm (2 inches) away from the edge of the container and at least 10cm (4 inches) away from another wick. This is to ensure that the molten wax from individual wicks does not merge to form one mass of molten wax.
Bury the wick with only 1cm (10mm) showing above the level of the crystals, before it is lit. Once a wick has burnt out, leave the molten wax for 15 minutes to harden into a solid lump. When the lump has formed remove it from the remaining wax crystals. To burn again, insert a new wick into the centre of the remaining crystals. Top up with new crystals and re-light.
